Our Mission Statement

To reach out to all the single members of our congregation, providing various programs and activities that will encourage personal and spiritual growth, as we transform lives by coming together as a team to address the needs and issues of the singles in our congregation. Whether you have been through a divorce, separated, widowed or never been married, as a single person, you can be a part of the G.A.F.T. Church Singles Ministry.

 

Plans & Strategies

·        We plan to participate in activities designed for singles, and collaborate with other church singles groups as well, if possible, to establish personal growth and healing amongst our singles.

·        Sponsoring single parents during various holidays to be a blessing to them.

·        Tailored programs and activities will provide not only spiritual growth, but the opportunity to get acquainted with other singles for the purpose of fellowship, discussing issues, studying God's word, singing, praying, interacting, and most importantly, upbuilding the Kingdom of God.  Although singles, like other ministries, have unique challenges and issues, working together as a team will provide opportunities for growth and witnessing.

·        We must believe that single adults are full members of the family of God. We must learn to accept singles regardless of how they got there. I’m not talking about acceptance of ongoing destructive choices; I am talking about believing that we too can be changed and overcome the stereotypes of single adults.

·        We plan to motivate the singles in our church to not just sit, but to line up with the vision of our Pastor and to exercise the gifts and talents that God has given us.  The fun activities will be great, but the Singles ministry is not just parties and socials; it is equipping single adults to be Kingdom Builders!
